1st Swimming Gala in São Tomé and Príncipe

ACA took part in the 1st Swimming Gala in São Tomé and Príncipe, reinforcing its commitment to corporate sustainability and social responsibility, in line with Sustainable Development Goals 3, 4, 8, 10, and 17.
The event featured a 400-metre open-water swimming race, organised by #equatorcrossing, with 28 young participants. This initiative is part of the “São Tomé and Príncipe Swimming” project, promoted by the São Tomé and Príncipe Swimming Federation in partnership with APTN – Social, with the aim of training swimming instructors who will, in the future, promote the sport across different communities in the country.
The project covers various areas of swimming education, including water polo, lifesaving, and aqua aerobics, promoting not only competitiveness but also healthy sporting habits for all ages.

The gala brought together athletes, coaches, ACA employees, the President of the São Tomé and Príncipe Swimming Federation, and the Minister of Health and Sport, celebrating local talent and reinforcing the role of sport as a driver of inclusion and community development.
