ACARREIRAS Trainee Programme launched on 25 May

On 25 May, another edition of the ACARREIRAS Trainee Programme officially began, offering young talent a practical and integrated experience across ACA’s different areas of activity.
The programme started with an onboarding session designed to welcome the participants, introduce them to the Group’s culture and present the main objectives for the next six months. This first stage gave the trainees a broader understanding of the Group, its business areas and the journey they will undertake throughout the programme.
In the following weeks, participants had the opportunity to explore different areas of the business through a series of technical visits. The programme included a visit to AMBIÁGUA, where they gained first-hand insight into the company’s activities and its role within the sector.
The practical component of the programme was further strengthened with a visit to the Rubi Line project, providing trainees with direct exposure to the realities of construction engineering and the challenges involved in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
Participants also visited RESIFLUXO, at its Cruz and Fafe facilities, where they learned about waste management and recovery processes and the importance of the circular economy within the sector.
The programme also included a visit to the ACA Laboratory, allowing trainees to understand the work carried out in the testing and quality control of construction materials and the importance of technical rigour throughout every stage of a project.
More than an onboarding programme, ACARREIRAS is an ongoing learning experience that provides direct exposure to operations and technical development, offering participants a comprehensive understanding of the different business areas that make up ACA.
The second phase of the programme will begin in October.
