Ciborro WWTP

The Ciborro WWTP was designed to serve a population equivalent of around 900 inhabitants, incorporating SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) technology, an efficient and sustainable solution for wastewater treatment.

The plant was designed for an average treatment flow of 131 m³/d in dry weather and 197 m³/d in wet weather, with a maximum peak flow of 22 m³/h.

The infrastructure includes an inlet structure, a pre-treatment unit, an equalisation tank and an SBR reactor, ensuring an effective treatment process both in the liquid phase and in sludge management.

Given the proximity to residential areas, a biological deodorisation system was also implemented, helping to minimise any odour impacts.

The WWTP is currently in the start-up phase, with an operational stabilisation period of around 12 months anticipated.
