ReciclARTE: creativity and sustainability at ACA

On World Environment Day, ACA internally launched the ReciclARTE challenge, an initiative inviting employees to transform waste into works of art. The aim was to raise awareness of the impact of waste in the construction sector, promoting the creative reuse of materials that would otherwise be discarded.

The project involved the collaboration of artist Xico Gaivota, known for his work in giving value to waste through art, who helped to assess the pieces created by ACA teams in Portugal, Angola, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Brazil.

Throughout the challenge, the teams had the opportunity to explore innovative solutions for reusing materials, reinforcing the importance of sustainability and creativity in everyday processes.

The results of the challenge were revealed during Innovation Day, where the winners were announced and the awarded pieces were showcased in person.
